FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Yes
Yes, we do write spill plans. With the help from our new drone we can create plans more precisely than ever before. We have written many plans for industry, oil and gas, etc. – whether you need an engineer approval (above 10,000 gallons) or a self-certified plan we can create it for you. However, we may have a way in the future to let you DIY via our guided plan building tools (still in beta testing).
Yes
Yes, we write storm water plans. We have written storm water plans in most of the states in the southeast. Just like other written plans Apex plans on helping clients help themselves with tools to DIY, but with how complex plans can be we will probably just use tools to streamline information back and forth to assess the scope of the work because nobody knows your facility quite like you do.
Yes
Yes, we go to sites regularly and help gather the information to help the Army Corps of Engineers make determinations. The permitting process is familiar to us in several states in the southeast. We use a very accurate lidar drone to help us assess properties.
Yes
We have an enterprise level drone that takes very accurate imagery. Ours has an RTK system on it so the output is very, very accurate. The exported data can be given to CAD software and manipulated however the client sees fit. The best parts of flying drones (to Apex) is understanding where storm water run-off goes and having up-to-date imagery of a facility. We can also determine stock pile measurements, create 3D maps, digital elevation, contour maps (topography). BUT the fun doesn’t stop there – we can also shoot sites for real estate, safety videos, and promotional events.
Yes (For Mississippi)
Yes, we conduct them in the state of Mississippi. Some states NORMS is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Health, but in Mississippi (up to a certain point) it is under the jurisdiction of the Oil and Gas Board of Mississippi. We perform both the periodic survey and the close out survey (for when you are returning the land). The MSOGB website is http://www.ogb.state.ms.us

If you are a safety subscriber you will have access to videos, quizzes, handout pages, etc. We have broken apart the recommended quarterly training, but inside the training library you can access a plethora of safety topics. Users can download and handle training on their own – right from their computers. Eventually all the quarterly training will be made into quizzes that will store directly on the website. Until then, safety users will have access and be able to upload completed copies for safekeeping here on the website.
